Packer Christmas Carol By Judith M Mahnke 08-Dec-1996 Twas the month before Christmas and all through Packerland, Super Bowl parties started to be planned. The fans were nestled all snug in their beds, with visions of Cowboys, wearing Packer cheeseheads. When out on the frozen tundra there was such a clatter, that fans jumped out of their beds to see what was the matter. When what to their wondering eyes should appear, but a green and gold sleigh and eight tiny reindeer. With a little old driver so lively, you bet all knew in a moment it must be St. Brett. He shouted and whistled and called out the play, "now, Reggie ! now, Chewy ! now, Edgar and Beebe !, on, Taylor ! on, Butler ! on, Evans and Koonce ! To the top of the Division; to the top of the NFC. We won't stop till we win them, you see." So back to Lambeau Field the reindeer all flew, To pick up a sleigh full of Packers and Coach Holmgren too. The play-off games will take place on the frozen tundra you know, Cause the Packers love to play at Lambeau when there is a lot of snow ! When the Packers play at home and get far ahead, it gives the cheeseheads nothing to dread. The games will be played with great Packer pride, so we know a victory will soon be on the green and gold side. The cheeseheads will hear the Packers exclaim as they drive out of sight, "MERRY CHRISTMAS to all and to ALL A GOOD NIGHT. May the next time we meet, be on Bourban Street !!" |
